Techies4Tomorrow

Techies4Tomorrow is an online learning program/game of the Durham Colored Library Inc. (DCL) nonprofit. It is the goal of this program to reduce the achievement gap of African Americans in STEM.

This project includes

vuejs for the SPA
REST API using Kohana PHP and mySQL
audio, video, and animations to make the site more engaging
report dashboard -- can download pdf or excel spreadsheets
VueJS 3, Composition API, Pinia, GreenSock/GSAP, HTML5, CSS, PHP and mySQL

Mastering the Bluebook V2.0 — html5, css, jquery, php, mysql, kohana

Mastering the Bluebook: Interactive Exercises V2.0

Mastering the Bluebook: Interactive Exercises is an e-Learning application for law students and others to master legal citation through a series of interactive exercises.

For Version 2.0, I

updated the UI to be responsive across all devices
upgraded Kohana for PHP7
enhanced the security of the website to prevent cheating
enhanced accessibility for screen readers and keyboard-only users
used HTML5, CSS, jQuery, PHP and mySQL

Core Grammar for Lawyers V4.0

Core Grammar for Lawyers is an e-Learning application for law students and others to improve their grammar skills.

For Version 4.0, I

Click & Learn: Civil Procedure is an online and self-paced interactive tool that helps law students learn, practice, and master civil procedure.

For this project, I

created an admin site to enter content
upgraded Kohana for PHP7
built an instructor dashboard to create classes with due dates, view student progress and display student, class, and school reports.
added Excel export for many reports
added timezone support
used HTML5, CSS, jQuery, PHP and mySQL

developed the website using HTML5, CSS, javascript, and PHP
built custom javascript photo album to display photos
integrated perch cms so the author can easily update her content

based the code off of Core Grammar for Lawyers framework

Core Grammar for Lawyers is an e-Learning application for law students and others to improve their grammar skills.

For Version 2.0, I

converted the flash lesson and exercises to HTML5 so they would work on iPads and Android tablets
created print stylesheets (CSS) so the lessons could be printed in the correct format, eliminating the need for PDF documents
developed a reusable jQuery framework for all the various exercises

My Jewish Learning wanted an interactive timeline to showcase events in Jewish history.

For this website, I

developed the timeline using HTML5, CSS, javascript, and PHP
used polyfills to support older browsers
integrated the timeline into their existing xhtml site
developed a PHP/mySQL backend for entering events
